This is a really useful little lamp. I purchased it to use in macro photography. However, I have used it as a handy torch and to illuminate my computer keyboard. It small enough to easily fit into a camera kit bag and light enough (weight wise) that it can be carried in a pocket. The case is quite thick plastic and feels fairly sturdy. The unit delivers a wide scope of brightness, the top end being very bright considering it’s size. There is also a good range of colours, useful to manage the temperature tone in photos. The controls are simple and straightforward, comprising of an on/off switch, a mode button and up and down keys to control brightness and scroll through menu options. Happily, these controls are large enough to allow operation with gloves on, important as we head into winter. There are some ‘effects’ which in my opinion appear a bit samey, but I won’t be using them so that is no loss to me. All in all, this is an excellent little light source, with more punch than expected from such a small item. It’s well made, light weight and robust. It has a multitude of uses and comes at a great price.

Very Basic but effective Mostly made from plastic and has 3 shoe mount slots on each side a magnetic back plate a light colour code The lcd screen is small but clear and its easy to operate a simple on off switch in the upper right corner then s mode multi functional button lower left press to change from mode to brightness hold to change mode Then a simple up and down button on the left its 2500 k upto 9000k though it does work I don't think its very accurate though still looks good No camera flicker or non in my case The RGB mode just has a colour chart numbered 0 to 360 this is the rgb range 0 being red 360 purple and everything inbetween again not 100 % accurate but works OK and again no flicker on camera the shoe mount has a double washer to tighten up or as a spacer the whole thing comes out for alternative mounting overall for this price it's decent not as good as my small rig which cost 80 quid but better than my other one very similar to this one that cost 30 and the mount broke in a couple of days this one has been fine ideal for secondary lighting, or for effects, back light, various scenes, etc good to have in the video kit bag

The media could not be loaded. This light does an ok job for an amateur photographer. It's quite easy to navigate and the LCD screen is bright and clear. It also has 3 cold shoe mounts and a magnet at the back to attach to metal surfaces. It can produce a CCT white color with temperatures between 2500-9000k and HSV mode, with hue adjustable from 0 to 359 degree. For each mode you can set either the brightness or color intensity between 0-100%. I like a few things about this light. The USB-C charging slot is one. Then you have nice and easy to press buttons, and an intuitive control - an on/off switch, a dual function mode button (press and hold to switch between CCT and HSV and press quickly to switch between brightness/intensity and temperature/hue) and two buttons to adjust the setting. I like the screen for its clarity and brightness. The light mechanism can be accessed which is a positive - the screws are openly visible. Finally you can unscrew the bottom leg. It's not a hot shoe…The manufacturer clearly doesn't know what it means. A hot shoe is actually quite rare - it is a leg that generates a cable-free connection, so the device can integrate and steer the light. Here it's just a leg, made of rather cheap plastic. It has 2 support rings and you'll need both - the bottom one to secure the light to the device, and the top one to ensure the light actually sits straight. Luckily as mentioned - you can unscrew it and replace it with a better quality one. As much as the CCT white light mode is ok (though I'm pretty sure it's a bit too bright compared with another light on the exact same setting), the HSV mode is more a fun gadget than an actual RGB light. Sure, it reproduces different colors. But if you reduce the intensity of a color to very low, you'll notice that sometimes the hue completely changes. For instance 342 degree purple on 5% intensity is still purple, on 4% it suddenly becomes red. This is no good as a professional light. Also the plastic this light is made of looks quite cheap. It doesn't affect the functionality, but it will look a bit out of place with a fancy camera. Overall it's what you're expecting from this light, that will shape your judgement. I initially was quite impressed with it, until I played a bit more with settings and then checked what similarly priced lights can do. Some lower priced lights also have a scene mode, where the HSV light can imitate a strobe or SOS light etc. It's not a must-have thing, but I'd rather have it than do without, for an even higher price. Also lots of other lights just look better. In the end I have to give it 3 stars as I don't think this would be my pick. Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful.

these are extremely bright and are awesome, i bought two to create double colored shots for photography and they work like magic. every color is possible as well as normal white and yellow light. they stayed charged for a long time, can use them continuously for 6 hours which is great for anyone doing photography!!
