Two lights make all the difference. The other light will fill in the shadows cast by the first light. I'm using them for indoor video shoots and the adjustable temperature/brightness and stands are lightweight, and a good height. Being USB powered I have strapped a couple of USB batteries packs to each so they are truly portable. No need to plug them into a wall or have long extension leads. Video shoots have never been easier.

A little light wight so won't take a lot of abuse. They are also not exceptionally bright, but evenly diffused. They are therefore ideally suited to a close set studio use / video blog style, where there's no great distance from the lights to the subject.

This product comes inside a cardboard box; once opened, you'll see two video lights and two tripods. As of reviewing this product, it is priced at £45.99 - I believe this is valuable. The tripods feel of really good quality; they are stable, easy to use and attach, and there is a lot of flexibility in the height; the LED Video has three different modes; white, amber and 50/50 - I do think this is perfect for a beginner photographer or a small studio I would definitely recommend this product for beginners.

The Ci-Fotto LED Photo Video Light is provided with very lightweight stands, each having a normal lighting connector and provided with an adjustable ball head for each stand. The stands are stable enough, with the panels attached, even at their maximum height, I wouldn't like to vouch for their longevity if erected & dismantled regularly. There are slots at the front of the lamps suitable for coloured or white gels. The panels themselves are rated at 15W and have a pattern of alternating warm & cool white LEDs within. In the photos above I set white balance for the Normal white setting (all LEDs illuminated) against my white backdrop. As is visible, both warm & cold whites are exactly that, which is to be expected, but no visible hotspots were seen on my backdrop, with the light being diffused evenly. The power cable design is 'interesting', with the controls being around halfway down the length of the cable, which would put it very close to the floor on maximum height, or on the floor if lowered to around half-height. Brightness controls are good, reducing from low to full output over 9 steps, so probably set in 10% increments. The length of the power cable is restrictive, at full height the light will need to within 50 CM of a power source, another metre would have helped a lot! No USB power adaptor is provided, so either PowerBanks (me) or 2 x 3A+ adaptors are required (or as required) They do produce sufficient light for product photograpy, with even illumination, and would probably serve as key / side lights at a desk using the stands or suitable tabletop stands. I was pleasantly suprised by the output of the lights (they are also very light) as well as the cold shoe adaptor on the top of each that would permit the lamps to be stacked (with a cold shoe adaptor) or additional, smaller lamps providing auxillairy illumination. Had the power cables been longer (and even better, power adaptors provided) this would have been 5 stars, but really does deserve 4.5 stars.

This is a decent beginner set if you're looking to build up some entry-level continuous lighting equipment, but the cheap price will come at the cost of a complete lack of fine-tune adjustments. I *believe* there are 10 levels of brightness. I can't seem to find anything on the product page that says how many steps there are, but I can tell you that my eyes can only notice a difference between the first six steps and nothing else. The highest four clicks still seem to register as I'll have to step back down four times before I can once again see any decrease in brightness levels, but otherwise that last "40%" has no discernable difference in brightness to me. The dimmest option available is also still plenty bright, so overall there isn't a wide range of brightness/lumens to play around with (especially compared to modern RGB video lights that let you step in 1% increments all the way down to 1% brightness). Color temperature is also limited to the three options as described in the product page, though I was at least surprised to see the light has physical tabs to support color gels (note: none are actually included). The built-in diffusion is decent enough, but IMO these lights work best when paired with a basic diffuser panel placed in front. And if you're looking for an even larger light source, I was pleased to see the frames support a basic hotshoe attachment at the top so you can actually combine both lights onto a single unit. I think I was most surprised by the two included stands, as they feel pretty large and sturdy compared to some other basic stands I've collected over the years. It almost feels like overkill since the two light panels are each lighter than my phone, so that's a bonus. I also didn't notice any heating issues during my average period of use. The 5v/2A brick I was using (not included) may have felt a tad warm after 40 minutes or so, but honestly no more so than if it were being used to charge anything else like a phone. I couldn't feel any extra warmth coming from the light or its switch. I had originally intended to use these for toy and product photography, but the lack of fine control doesn't make them as suitable for this task. I think these lights work best for larger subjects, and for when you just need to flood an area with extra lighting, and for those basic tasks this set gets the job done.
